The Sorbo Valley, a vast uncontaminated area of the Veio Regional Park, one of the main green lungs of the Capital, extends in the northern outskirts of Rome, between the municipalities of Formello and Campagnano di Roma. Bathed by the Cremera river, the territory is characterized by the tuff valleys of the Roman countryside and is populated by livestock raised in the wild. The area is protected as a Site of Community Interest (SCI), that is, particularly suitable for the conservation of habitats useful for maintaining the biodiversity of flora and fauna. This large green house, lived in harmony by its inhabitants, appears to be suspended in a time far from contemporaneity. The valley is an oasis of escape from the confusion of the city center and represents a current and concrete example of how nature can be respected and enhanced.

La Valle del Sorbo, una vasta area incontaminata del Parco Regionale di Veio, uno dei principali polmoni verdi della Capitale, si estende nella periferia nord di Roma, tra i comuni di Formello e Campagnano di Roma. Bagnato dal fiume Cremera, il territorio è caratterizzato dalle valli tufacee della campagna romana ed è popolato da bestiame allevato allo stato brado. La zona è protetta come Sito di Interesse Comunitario (SIC), cioè particolarmente adatta alla conservazione degli habitat utili al mantenimento della biodiversità della flora e della fauna. Questa grande casa verde, vissuta in armonia dai suoi abitanti, appare come sospesa in un tempo lontano dalla contemporaneità. La valle è un’oasi di fuga dalla confusione del centro cittadino e rappresenta un esempio attuale e concreto di come la natura possa essere rispettata e valorizzata.
